The Ohio Vision Professionals Board developed a safe haven program for all licensees and applicants. The safe haven program is a confidential path for individuals to seek help for burnout, mental health or substance use disorders and a therapeutic alternative to regulatory awareness. Any Vision Professional Board licensee or applicant who needs assistance with burnout, behavioral health, mental health or substance use disorder or other medical conditions is eligible to participate in the safe haven program.

Well-being Screens

OhioPHP can assist with the identification of stress, burnout, mental health, and substance use disorders or other issues by providing comprehensive well-being screens to healthcare professionals.

Education Opportunities

We are now offering education programs for practitioners licensed by the Ohio Vision Professionals Board on mental health, substance use disorders, and their safe haven program. This education program has been approved for continuing education credit.
