While OhioPHP does not have a formal safe haven program for pharmacists and pharmacy professionals through the Ohio Board of Pharmacy, we remain a valuable resource for those seeking confidential support. OhioPHP provides screening, assessment, and treatment referrals, and monitoring services for healthcare professionals, including pharmacy professionals, who may be experiencing challenges related to mental health, substance use, or other health concerns that could impact their well-being and professional practice. Confidential participation may be limited to individuals who voluntarily seek OhioPHP services and who are not engaged in any investigation or other activity with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy. Participants may forfeit their confidentiality if they fail to complete or comply with program requirements or if they are deemed a risk to themselves or others.

OhioPHP can assist with the identification of stress, burnout, mental health, and substance use disorders or other issues by providing comprehensive well-being screens to healthcare professionals. Well-being screenings are the initial screening process used by OhioPHP to determine access to services and any recommended need for evaluation, treatment, or monitoring.
