Jennifer Hayhurst
Policy Director
Jennifer oversees activities related to advocacy and policy development by building and maintaining strong relationships with key policymakers and stakeholders. Jennifer joined OhioPHP after spending over twenty years specializing in policy development and regulatory advocacy at the Ohio State Medical Association (OSMA). During her time at OSMA, she worked as the primary liaison between the OSMA and Ohio’s healthcare-related regulatory agencies. Jennifer has authored and co-authored several publications and has presented on topics such as telemedicine, medical licensure, maintenance of certification, medical marijuana, and Ohio’s response to the prescription drug abuse epidemic. Jennifer has also been involved with the development of healthcare provider wellness programs, including Ohio’s Well-Being CARE Service. Jennifer began her career as a law firm-based paralegal after obtaining her Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies from Columbus State Community College.
